Top Ten Reasons for Voting Progressive!

[cp_quote style=”quote_normal_dark”]If you have some Progressive, Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Socialist or even independent friends who are searching for the reasons they voted for a Progressive, just offer them this list and ask them to pick one.  Strangely enough they may think these are good reasons.[/cp_quote]

10.  I vote Progressive because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.

 9.   I vote Progressive because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

 8.   I vote Progressive because Freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

 7.   I vote Progressive because I’m way too irresponsible to own a gun, and my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

 6.   I vote Progressive because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don’t start driving a Prius.

 5.   I vote Progressive because I’m not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies through abortion so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

 4.   I vote Progressive because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits.

 3.   I vote Progressive because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves.  They need to break even and give the rest to the government for redistribution as the Progressive see fit.

 2.   I vote Progressive because I believe Progressive judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

 1.   I vote Progressive because my head is so firmly planted up my ass that it is unlikely that I’ll ever have another point of view.

Author: Mr. America

I am an independent observer of life... amused and at the same time frightened by those who speak for the people and make no personal commitment to their stated beliefs. If you believe in global warming make a small personal carbon footprint don't force others. If you believe in freedom of speech, allow others to speak. Elected leaders, represent everyone not just your special interest groups. If you condemn racism don't tolerate it within your own race. If an opinion does not match yours, listen with an open mind you may be the one who is wrong.
