Let’s keep in mind Mayor Lightfoot’s Twitter header words “Be Safe Chicago”
She just forgot to add on the end… “Because I’m not doing a damn thing to make it safe for you. You’re on your own good luck!”
This mayor “Tweets” while children bleed in the streets! Gee ain’t she sweet!
Just a few days after the 3 year old was killed and 1-year-old boy was fatally shot while riding in a car with his mother Saturday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side. Another two innocent teens buying candy are shot by a 19 year old becasue they asked him how tall he was.
In a tweet Saturday evening, Mayor Lori Lightfoot addressed the infant’s death, adding she is “tired of burying our children.” I guess she will have to Tweet again.
Mayor Lightfoot… the problem is YOU are not burying OUR children and today there are two more of them. The people you have abandoned are burying THEIR children. You have abandoned them the same as every other Democrat mayor before you. Blaming others for the problems you refuse to address effectively because of politics.
I guess you could be mad that the bodies are piling up so fast and the City has to pay for autopsies and ambulances and those pesky investigations that will show Black on Black crime. Instead you would rather these innocents were mowed down by some rogue police officer than you would actually pay more than 30 seconds complaining that you have to bury them.
HOW ABOUT THIS MAYOR LIGHTFOOT! Why don’t you hold an “in person Press conference with the mothers of all of these innocent children killed in the neighborhoods that you police and tell those mothers you are going to de-fund the police and those deaths were really the fault of police. Tell them how you are keeping Chicago safe.
The deaths of all of these children are on your hands. It was your job to protect them. You failed! As a sign of atonement for your failures please walk the streets every day without your armed guards.
People, arm yourself as this do nothing mayor will not protect your children.
