Just a few days after the 3 year old was killed another 1-year-old boy was fatally shot while riding in a car with his mother Saturday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side. It was a drive by shooting with many shots into her car as she returned from doing laundry late at night.
In a tweet Saturday evening, Mayor Lori Lightfoot addressed the infant’s death, adding she is “tired of burying our children.”
Mayor Lightfoot… the problem is YOU are not burying OUR children. The people you have abandoned are burying THEIR children. You have abandoned them the same as every other Democrat mayor before you. Blaming others for the problems you refuse to address effectively because of politics.
Lightfoot just a few weeks ago you walked those streets in the light of day with armed guards and told those same people YOU would arrest them if they had a neighborhood BBQ or played in the park with their children. BBQ’s and playing with your children in the park are not the problem. You and the Democrat Progressive Marxists you run with who want to de-fund the police are the problem.
Why don’t YOU try walking those same streets without your armed guards. Try doing YOUR laundry at night with a small child.
The death of this child is on your hands. It was your job to protect them. You failed! As a sign of atonement for your failures please walk the streets every day without your armed guards.
Feel free to arm yourself as much as you would have allowed that mother to arm herself.
